One aspect of business that I take very seriously with myself and my team is a continual focus on personal development. Not just for in work, but also for their personal lives, future goals and aspirations, and their own performance. It's crucial that you set yourself goals in life and work if you want to get anywhere, and achieving those goals and objectives will be hard work without investing any time in your own development. I encourage my staff to focus on developing themselves in work time, and out of work time. One of our current team objectives is reading the same book, and talking through a chapter with each other at our weekly team meetings.
This aside, my point is simple, start investing in yourself outside of your job if you want to get anywhere. For many of you, I understand your busy, and it's hard to get the time and structure to focus on much once you are home. With this in mind, we pulled together 5 of our favourite podcasts that we believe will be an investment in your personal, and professional lives.
